Mauricio’s arrival at Velas Resorts is a significant addition to the Meetings & Incentives team. Mauricio has worked with some of the world’s top hotel brands and travel organizations throughout his career, consistently delivering innovative strategies that drive growth, improve guest experiences, and optimize hotel operations. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Mauricio leverages his cultural awareness to establish strong relationships and foster effective collaborations across diverse markets.
Mauricio is an active Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) member and will serve as President of the Florida & Caribbean Chapter in 2025. His career includes key roles with organizations such as the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, Dolce Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. His vast experience in sales and hotel operations has made him a standout figure in the industry, consistently achieving outstanding results.
